My Show Is Back!!!!!!!!!!!

Omg! My show is back on air, with season 2. I remember turning on my TV and looking at commercials for the first season at first I was like I don't think I'm going to like this show but as the show progressed I began to like it. I'm glad the show had enough viewers that it was able to come out with a season 2! I mean I would have been truly mad if the show had ended with that cliffhanger. Ugh! There's nothing worse than ending a show with a cliffhanger, and never picking up from where it started! It just grinds my gears!lol. Looking forward to see what the new season brings! I so wish "Sherri" would come back with a season 2! It also left viewers with a cliffhanger. Ugh!, all these motherfudgin cliffhangers!

Te amo, Te amo......

This video is super steamy, I watched it on youtube and a lot of people kept saying she's a lesbian in their comments. But if you listen to the lyrics clearly she's saying I don't feel the same way as you do. Nice video though.

Pregnant Much?

So there's been talk that Alicia Keys may be pregnant. You judge for yourself. However I just love that old saying what goes around comes around. He left his wife for you, but what makes you so sure that he won't leave you for someone else in the near future? Any who if Alicia is pregnant congrats to her. Hope the baby is a girl.

Just A Moment Of Silence...

Rest In Peace to my good friend Tim. You know when people say tomorrow isn't promised to us? Or tell them you love them while they are here? It just doesn't sink in until that person passes away. I promise you, I was just hanging out with him in April, talking to him about the issues going on in my life and what I planned to do for this coming school year. I got a chance to hang with him quite a few times during the times that I was in school. I always used to joke to him about how he's always busy during the summer, and I never get a chance to hang with him. I remember a few weeks ago, he text my phone telling me that he was in the hospital again, I just kept reassuring him that you'll be ok, man you'll bounce back from it and go on with life.He just kept telling me man, Keda I don't think so this time. It just really hurts to lose a friend again like this, this is like my second time losing someone to illness, and it hurts so much because it's like there's nothing you can do. Rest in Peace Tim A. Pringle, you will forever be in my thoughts.

Tyra! Tyra!

Oh My Gosh! I can't believe that there will be no more Tyra Shows. Ugh, her shows were so entertaining and informative. I've never watch a day time show constantly like I watched hers. I mean I watched Maury only when he had paternity test shows and that was it. Her final show was earlier today at 4pm. The good thing is America's Next Top Model will still be running and Tyra also have many other projects coming out in the near future. I can't believe The Tyra Show has been running for five years! I didn't start watching this show until like 2009, I really wish she would continue her show, but I guess she has accomplished what she wanted and is now moving on. Guess I'll have to watch the reruns, lol!

Oh, So Males Do It Too,Seriously?

I didn't know we had males out there who lived off of drama or start drama. This happened to me when school was coming to an end, and finals were about to start. I had a small group of friends, I also talked to a lot of other people so it wasn't like I was cut off from everyone else and just hung with this one group. So one sunny Monday I was outside enjoying the day, you know happy because my outfit looked cute and I had just gotten a brand new phone, finally! lol. All of a sudden the same group I hung around started calling my name, now I did hear them but I was like I don't really want to hang with anyone today just want to chill alone. So I kept walking they finally caught up to me when I stopped to text. Then they circled around me and all started asking questions about did I say this and that about them. I told them point blank I didn't say anything, so then they were like oh well...your male friend told us that you've been saying all this stuff about us. And in my mind I'm like I haven't talked to that guy since like February when I realized he wanted to have sex with me and I told him no, and to make it worst he had a girlfriend. So to make a long story short, I got a restraining order against "my so called friends". The summer started and I blew it off, and was enjoying my summer and might I add my 3.5 GPA, lol. All of a sudden I get a text today earlier this morning, and he's like hey Keda I'm sorry for lying on you that was really childish or whatever. I looked at the text, and was like wow. The truth finally comes out once the dust settles. I just can't grasp why some males act like females, feeding off of drama or starting it themselves. So fudging immature dude!

I Like!.

So yesterday...once again I was watching the Wendy Williams show and She was talking about American Idol and who the winner was and who all performed. She talked to this guy I forgot his name through webcam about who the performers were and he said Janet Jackson was there and she did a great job. They showed a picture of Janet Jackson during the performance, but it was to small for me to see. Not only that but, I was on my facebook and one of the girls was talking about how Janet's new cut didn't fit her. So I just had to find a picture of Janet's new haircut. Personally I love the cut. I like how it looks, to me it fits her face. Not only that but its her hair, so if she wants to cut it then its her perogative! You go Janet! You're hair looks nice, or as Tyra would say"You look Fierce!

Rihanna makes the band along side Travis Parker for her new video Rockstar 101 inspired by the rock guitarist Slash, she makes a mean double. Rihanna's been bringing it lately and I love it!

Complexion Obsession

I actually agree with her, I believe we as black people

do have a complexion obsession.

I watched the entire video, and I didn't see any girls of his complexion, or close to his complexion. Wale could have thrown some of them into the video, I'm just saying. He has to watch what videos he puts out, because the song is clearly titled Pretty Girls, and for him not to have any women of dark complexion, he might not see anything wrong, but guys watch his videos and look up to him as well so when they see his video, Pretty Girls, and see, ok this is what a "pretty girl" is she's either mixed, Hispanic, or of white descent etc. Then that's how they are going to go on in life labeling what pretty is. Still like your music, but she did make a valid point Wale.

Eyegasm of the day

I call it eyegasm(lol) because this is the first time in a while, where a video is actually telling a story.
That's something that we are missing now days in many music videos.
I fell in love with this song like months ago, played it almost everyday on my mix Cd that I had. This tells me that I don't watch a lot of TV, because I didn't even know the video was out for this song, but I guess when its on the radio like 24/7 then they're bound to have a video out by now. Any who I love the concept of the video.

Better Off Alone!.

So last night I was watching Belly 2 on BET and the movie wasn't as good as Belly. Movies like Grease, Belly, Save The Last Dance, Bring It On etc. should just be left without a sequel. Sequels are just Corny, and not as great as the first movie. What really gets me is how they make sequels to these movies, but don't use the original characters what so ever. I mean whats the purpose of a sequel if the main characters aren't going to be the same, you know? Another thing I don't like is when they re-make or remix movies that are better off original. Like Carmen starring Dorothy Dandridge & Harry Belafonte that was a great movie. I mean don't get me wrong Beyonce did her thing in the Hip opera Carmen version, but that movie was better left like it was. I heard they did a Broadway version of the West side Story, that movie is better off alone( that movie was really good too). Some movies people should just leave it like the way it is. The only movie that I thought was good that was redone was The Wizard of Oz, which was redone and named The Wiz(that movie was good). I so wish next time directors or actors/actresses think about doing a sequel or re-doing a classic....I just want them to.....stop....and think really hard about this!.

One Lucky Woman!.

So there's been reports and talk about Serena and Common dating. Which now it is true, because Common confirmed it on the Wendy Williams show today while also talking about his new movie with Queen Latifah. Wendy asked him if he's going to marry Serena, and he said if it happens then he would be delighted(well not those exact words but something to the sort) Any who, Serena Williams is one lucky woman! In other news about Common I didn't know that he was 38! Gheeze!! Wendy asked him how old he was on her show, and he was like 38. I was shocked, because he looked so good, and young! I thought he was like in his late 20's at least! Age does not matter, because he is still fine! I like his character as a whole, and he has great music, couldn't ask for more.

Oh Royce!....

Once again I was watching the Wendy Williams show and Royce Reed was there. She couldn't really speak about the legal matters going on between her and Dwight Howard, but allegedly he is suing her for twittering pics of their child, and now people are saying that what she did on the episode of "Basketball Wives" could be used against her as well. I feel that if this is what the lawsuit is about, her twittering pictures of their child I think she has a right to do it. It's just not Dwight's child but also, Royce's child as well. The real reason I believe that he is going to do this, is because he doesn't want his good image to shatter in front of the public. Now about the video, to a certain point I don't see anything wrong with it. She was at a party with her friends having a good time, but at the same time Royce has to remember that
she is a mother.

Whats The Issue?

Katy Perry's album "Teenage Dream" is supposed to be released august 24 of this year, however a group called beach house isn't too pleased because their album was named "Teen Dream" they are a little upset that her album title is similar to theirs. I just believe that its stupid to fuss about album titles being similar. I am pretty sure there are thousands of album titles, songs, and other things that are similar. I don't know if Beach House is doing this to get back into the spotlight, but I really do believe that this is really petty, like seriously.
news: news: http://www.crawdaddy.com/index.php/2010/05/12/beach-house-quite-pissed-off-about-katy-perry-s-teenage-dream/

So like where is Keyshia Cole?

I was thinking of all the artist that I haven't heard anything from for a minute, and thought of her.
So I youtubed her to see if she had any songs for this year and came across one.
I love this song, but a lot of people are saying this song is old. Old or new I still like this song! lol.

The Big Fuss!

Yesterday I was watching The Wendy Williams Show, and there happened to be a big controversey about 7yr old girls wearing provocative clothing and dancing sexual. Now after seeing the video, I do to a certain degree side with Wendy, when she said if you're going to let your little girls dance in this manor, then make sure you inform them about pedophiles. I watched the video, and I saw nothing wrong. The girls were in a competition setting, now if they were walking down the street like this, then I would have a problem, however I do think that who ever put this video up on youtube should immediately take it down.

Truth Hall is about five best friends gathering back together for one of their weddings. They all met in college, where they pledged the same sorority. In Los Angeles, they all have secrets which they divulge to each other before, during and after the ceremony. Yes, Jade's Jazae is one of them.

The Re-enactment.

I thought this video was funny, but I know people are still one sided about the chris brown and rihanna situation. No one knows what happened for sure except chris brown and rihanna, and God. So I think people should just chill, just because you're famous doesn't mean you're perfect. Even they make mistakes too.

Hate On Me...

I just love her music.

Lauryn Hill: Where Did She Go?

Can you believe that it has been 10 years since her last album! Man Lauryn where you at? It seems like she fell off once she started having kids. With the voice of an angelic siren to spitting the illest lyrics, Lauryn Hill’s music traps you with its pure sound and raspy texture into what should be coined as the “L-Boogie trance,” summoning a head bob with every verse. But the pondering question is: Where is L-Boogie now?
She's the epitome of pure, undeniable talent. Yet despite her tracks being on every one’s top-10 playlist, Ms. Hill is so far gone that she is now simply past our reach.
The fate of Lauryn Hill’s music and career is something that is never guaranteed. But like Kanye said on Champion, “I wish her [Lauryn’s] heart was still in rhyming.” Until then fans can keep Miseducation and The Score on heavy rotation or catch a glimpse of her while watching Sister Act 2, just to keep the old Lauryn resonating within.“Fantasy is what people want, but reality is what they need. I’ve just retired from the fantasy part,” she’s said of her disappearance in the past. Whether retirement or a long vacation, we’ll be awaiting the reappearance of our girl.

It's About Time!

So I was listening to my itune list of songs, and started listening music by SWV. Then I started to wonder, darn where is this group...they were really good!
Guess what SWV fans? There is talk that they are reuniting and coming out with an album this year(2010)! It's About Time!

saggin niggas

Origin:Sagging is commonly reported in the media as having originated from the prohibition of belts for inmates. Belts were banned because they could be used to commit suicide by hanging oneself, to strangle others, or as a weapon in fights. In the early 1990s, hip-hop artists popularized the style.Once upon a time there was a thing called modesty; it entailed respectfulness and decency. In that time it was frowned upon to show any unnecessary part of the human body.Yet now it seems like that was a long, long time ago and we are in a land far from then. Our times have changed along with our clothing. Soon women started revealing their upper half, which was considered sexy or beautiful. The trend moved down from the cleavage of the chest to the cleavage of the backside, also known as the butt crack. This fashion development started with men. Pants that reveal undergarments, or come close to showing private areas, are disrespectful, inconvenient, and poorly represents the people who wear them and therefore should no longer be a fashion trend. Boys wearing their pants below the waist, also known as sagging, were not always considered trendy. In fact, to wear pants that sagged was humiliating. Around the 1940's, when many people were truly poor, clothes were exchanged to last as long as they could. Boys would have to wear pants many sizes too big for them and would therefore sag. Sagging of the pants was a way to distinguish the wealthy from the poor. This continued to be true until the 1950's when a Latino gang started sagging to have a definite style. They also were used in prison. In prison those baggy pants are the trademark of a prison prostitute and thus advertise availability.Sagging pants was never meant to be fashionable. Prisoners wear their pants because belts are a popular way to commit suicide by hanging oneself, to hang others, or to use as a weapon in fights. Prisoners are also not allowed to have shoestrings for the same reasons. Not until the 1970's did gangs start sagging to hide weapons. Sagging started moving from the ghetto; to everywhere else. Sagging was no longer an indicator of one's wealth, even boys that could afford pants that fit started sagging. Professional skaters and actors also began to wear pants that revealed their boxers. Wearing a fashion statement is usually used to set a person apart from everyone else, but can quickly become a trend if people think it is cool. Sagging or wearing low-riders is very common and does not set one apart. Therefore, people who wear sagging or low-ridding pants must do so because other people think it is cool. Sagging pants makes it difficult to perform many activities and sports, yet people still seem to do it.
They can be hazardous to your health. Doctors say these low rise pants, or hip huggers, can cause damage to a nerve causing numbness in the legs. If there is continual use of the pants it could become permanent (Parmar). There have been reports that several cases of boys tripping and falling over their sagging pants. Before a person can sit, stand up or even walk low pants need to be pulled up in order for them not to fall completely down. That requires more attention than clothes should need and make wearing them inconvenient. They also can cause serious injury or even death.
In some way [our] culture embraces this style as a fad. At some point we have to take greater responsibility for what we put on TV and start changing these images. We see images that perpetuate the idea that that it's okay. It becomes part of our heritage and it's really not. We have to set a community standard."
As Eazy E once said about women in skirts,
"For easy access, baby."

Who You Callin A Bitch?

Can someone please explain this to me? I’m seeing it everywhere, but I don’t get it: Women who identify themselves, and people they purportedly like, as "bitches."
Main Entry: bitch
1: the female of the dog or some other carnivorous mammals
2 a: a lewd or immoral woman b: a malicious, spiteful, or overbearing woman —sometimes used as a generalized term of abuse
3: something that is extremely difficult, objectionable, or unpleasant
4: complaint
Bitch is a term for the female of a canine species in general. It is also frequently used as a term for a malicious, spiteful, domineering, intrusive, or unpleasant person, especially a woman. This second meaning has been in use since around 1400. When used to describe a male, it may also confer the meaning of “subordinate”, especially to another male, as in prison. Generally, this term is used to indicate that the person is acting outside the confines of their gender roles, such as when women are assertive or aggressive, or when men are passive or servile. More recent variants of bitch are bitchy, ill-tempered (1925), and to bitch, to complain (1930).

The word “bitch” has long been in use to refer to a woman in contempt, as shown in an 1811 dictionary which describes bitch as “the most offensive appellation that can be given to aSo why would a woman call herself “bitch,” refer to her friends as “my bitches,” or ever let a man call her “his bitch”? Evidently it’s an effect of “third-wave feminism” and a movement toward reclaiming derogatory and pejorative terms:n English woman, even more provoking than that of whore.”
Third-wave feminists believe it is better to change the meaning of a sexist word than to censor it from speech.

Many of these words did not originally have their modern connotations of power. For example, the English word cunt, which is commonly used as a pejorative, is a derivative of the Germanic word “kunton” meaning “female genitalia.” Over time the word has become both a pejorative and a marker of femininity. The words bitch and whore developed in a similar fashion.
You can talk to me about reclaiming words until you’re blue in the face and I still don’t buy it.
How about teaching people respect instead? How about not demeaning your fellow women by using offensive terms “to empower them”?
Feminist Response to Pop Culture,” together seem to imply that opinions of any sort other than “I like baking and raising babies, I do declare” are equal to bitchiness.

Why do we need to hide behind the label of “bitch” to feel okay with expressing opinions — or to slap it on others to make them feel like they shouldn’t express theirs? When are we going to stop being “bitches” and just be women?

There's A Difference!.

Ok, so while in N.Y. for the summer 09' I talked to my uncle who is(Rastafarian) about the difference between dreadlocks and kinky twists. and he explained it to me.
Kinky twists are like single braids and you can run your fingers through them as well. People who don't have any knowledge of dreads assume that dreads and kinky twists are the same. When they are clearly not!
Dreadlocks are heavy matted coils of hair which form by themselves (neglect method) or with the help of hair products. So yeah if you think you have dreads try to run your fingers through your hair. If you can they are definetely not dreadlocks. Most likely kinky twists.
Locks were never a fashion statement to begin with.
The wearing of dreadlocks is very closely associated with the movement, though not universal among, or exclusive to, its adherents. Rastas maintain that locks are supported by Leviticus 21:5 ("They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in the flesh.") and the Nazirite vow in Numbers 6:5 ("All the days of the vow of his separation there shall no razor come upon his head: until the days be fulfilled, in the which he separateth himself unto the Lord, he shall be holy, and shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.").
Rastafari associate dreadlocks with a spiritual journey that one takes in the process of locking their hair (growing hairlocks). It is taught that patience is the key to growing locks, a journey of the mind, soul and spirituality. Its spiritual pattern is aligned with the Rastafari movement. The way to form natural dreadlocks is to allow hair to grow in its natural pattern, without cutting, combing or brushing, but simply to wash it with pure water.
Locks worn for stylish reasons are sometimes referred to as "bathroom locks," to distinguish them from the kind that are purely natural. Rasta purists also sometimes refer to such dreadlocked individuals as "wolves," as in "a wolf in sheep's clothing," especially when they are seen as trouble-makers who might potentially discredit or infiltrate Rastafari.

So Cliche'... But I want it!.

So I have been thinking
for a hot minute, that I want a tattoo,
but I had to answer three questions.
1. What was I getting?
2. Where was I going to get it?
3. What's the meaning of me getting it?
So I decided to get a tattoo of a butterfly, but not just any butterfly...but the one in the picture. I looked up the type of butterfly that I wanted and found out it had a very good meaning behind it.
Now usually people get it on the left or the right of their shoulder but can get it other places as well. Which I'm going to get it on the left or right of my shoulder.
In Japanese culture, butterflies are known as the embodiment of one’s soul. In Chinese culture, the butterfly represents young love of a young heart. They believe that it is a symbol of grace and is associated with romanticism.

Jay-Z-On To The Next One.

New video of the decade, Jay-z dropped this video 12am, on NBC.
I watched the entire video. I loved the song waaaay before the video came out, but as I was watching the video I couldn't make a connection with the video and the song.
I thought videos were supposed to be the visual explanation of the song.
Still like the song, but I really do not care for the video.
